National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation program for healthcare organizations. SKNGH, desirous of structuring itself to cater to much desired needs of the patients, registered itself for the accreditation of NABH with an aim to promoting continuous quality improvement and improve effective infection control practices to ensure quality care for patients. With cumulative efforts of the administration and entire medical, nursing and support staff, SKNGH achieved the Safe-I certification on 16 June 2018.
In order to further excel and improve the quality of services being provided, and with patient safety and quality healthcare becoming key concerns across India, SKNGH registered itself for the Pre-Accreditation Entry Level NABH certification on 2nd January 2018.
After a yearlong efforts on all fronts, SKNGH successfully complied with all the 45 standards and 167 objective elements as per NABH standards. All the patient centered standards including care of patients, management of medication, hospital infection control etc. and organization centered standards including continuous quality improvement, facility management and safety, human resource management, information management system etc. were complied.
SKNGH received the Pre-Accreditation Entry Level NABH certificate on 13th January 2019. The Entry Level NABH Certificate was renewed on 13th January 2021 is valid up to 12th January 2023. The hospital plans to apply for full accreditation in near future.
