On 12 January 2022 Department of Medicine arranged a guest lecture on the
Topic : Unmet Need of Genetics in Patient Care:
How Genetics Medicine can help in Diagnostic & Therapeutic Aspects of Patient. To address these needs, a focused interactive session with Genetic Medicine Expert Dr. Anup Rawool, DM Medical Genetics (SGPGIMS) was held at SKNMC Pune. The session started with introduction of Dr. Anup by Dr. Jitendra Ingole, HOD Dept of Medicine and felicitated by Dr. D. B. Kadam, Professor Medicine. Dr. Anup Rawool introduced audiences to Importance and Practical therapeutic aspects of Genetics. He also highlighted upon the opportunities in field of Genetics for young medical aspirants about Genetics as a career. The interactive session ended with appreciation of Dr. Anup by Dr.Natu HOD Paediatrics department and handing over the memento.
Poster Presentation Competition (6/01/2022)
On 6th January 2022 Department of Medicine organized an event of Poster Presentation Competition to create awareness in general public. Interns of 2016 participated in competition with enthusiasm and made posters on subjects such as Blood transfusion awareness, Breast feeding, Alzheimer’s day , Malaria , Diabetic diet etc.
Poster presentation competition was judged by HOD Medicine Dr. Ingole and faculties of Dept. of Medicine (Dr. Shweta Deshmukh, Dr. Swapnaja Shelke).
The prizes were distributed by hands of Hon'ble Director Dr. A. V. Bhore and Dean Dr. Krishnakant B. Patil

Second prize : World Aids day by – Dr. Aditi and Dr. Krutika,
Third prize: World Alzheimer day by- Dr. Vibha and Dr. Nehal,
Innovative presentation : world breast feeding week by Dr. Tanmay Lalwani.
