Workshop for Covid diagnosis and management was conducted from (13 December – 17 December 2021) as per NMC (National Medical Commission) Directives. This also ensures continued preparedness of Faculty and staff of SKNMC & GH for Covid endemic, as newer variants are being discovered.

SKNMC took this opportunity to inaugurate skills lab on 14 December by hands of Director Dr. A.V. Bhore & Dean Dr. Krishnakant Patil. The skills lab is made as per NMC Norms & is well equipped with gadgets and instruments required for demonstration of the skills sets including Ventilator, HFNO (Hi Flow Nasal Oxygen) Machine, Various mannequins for demonstration of intubation / CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation). Dept of Medicine, Anesthesia, Respiratory Medicine, Microbiology, Emergency Medicine, OBGY, Community Medicine & Physiotherapy) contributed to the successful conduction of the workshop by means of expert talks &/or demonstration of required practical procedures.

Organising team of SKNMC for the event are thankful to Prof. M. N. Navale, President of STES, Dr. A.V. Bhore Director of SKNMC, Dean Dr. Krishnakant Patil for their support and guidance. Dr. D.B. Kadam, Professor Medicine provided his valuable academic inputs for formulation of sessions. Dr Ingole, HOD Medicine coordinated amongst other dept faculties for Demo and theory sessions. Dr. Ajay Naik, HOD Surgery & Skills lab Incharge, ensured resource mobilization & making the Skills lab functional. We are also thankful to faculties who conducted & participated in the sessions; and also, to the Medical students including Residents, who are our source for continued quest for academic and patient betterment.
