Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital is run by Sinhgad Technical Education Society which was formed in the year 1993 and runs about 90 Teaching Institutions starting from junior most school/ playgroup to highest post graduate colleges in various professional fields. The medical college and general hospital which is named after reverend mother of Prof. M.N. Navale, the founder president of STES was started in the year 2007.
Hospital was started in 2006 with just 300 beds & expanded to 1094 bedded hospital currently with 840 teaching beds, 80 ICU beds,40 Casualty bed, 20 beds for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery,64 Day Care beds, 2 Pain Clinic and 48 Recovery beds in O.T. The medical college is started with intake of 100 students for MBBS course in September 2007. The intake capacity now has been increased to 150 students. Our MBBS degree is recognized by Medical Council of India and also by Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India –New Delhi. The college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. We have added 3 Haemodialysis machines and an R.O. plant for dialyzing the patients of Acute/ Chronic Renal failure. All the facilities of hospital including Registration, Accommodation, Investigations, Medicines, Surgical Procedures and all type of consultation available at the hospital are provided to the patients, who are also provided with two wholesome meals everyday of stay in the hospital.
It is a well known fact that Medical college and Hospital is spread over an area of 27 acres. We have large number of quarters for employees of different categories and Hostels for students so that they can stay in the campus itself.
The residential complexes of students and staff are well secured by our professional security staff and the facility ensures comfort in the form of uninterrupted water supply, concrete roads, ample parking area, waste management and housekeeping services to all staying here.

This is one of the most important departments of the hospital, to provide life saving emergency treatment to a patient. The department is called by various names like CATS- Casualty and Trauma Services, A&E - Accident & Emergency services or Casualty Department which all mean the same i.e. this is a department functioning round the clock 24 x 7.
The Casualty department is located on ground floor of building no. 2 and has an independent entrance from all the four sides directly from the main road with an easy approach road for ambulances in close proximity with the Radio diagnosis, CCL, Casualty OT and Patient carrying lift for easy transportation of the serious patient to the services when service cannot be brought to the patient like ICU.
Casualty contains 40 bed viz 18 Beds for surgery trauma ,14 beds for General Medicine & Medical Department,5 beds ICU &3 beds Emergency OBST. After closure of OPD, Every Department who gets OPD & indoor treatment goes through Casualty. Casualty Department deals with all emergency & Medico legal activities.
There is a centralized OPD registration counter near college building. Here registration of OPD patients of all departments is done daily from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm case paper is given to old as well as patients. On Sundays and Public Holidays there is no OPD, however OPD does not remain closed on two consecutive days even if they are holidays. The number of patients attending the OPD is continuing to increase. We had attended 552796 patients during the year of 2015 and 570592 during the year 2016.
There is a IPD registration counter near college building. Here registration of IPD patients of all departments is done 24 hours. Indoor registrations slip and OPD case paper is checked before doing admission of different patients. IPD works in co-ordination with OPD registration and various departments. Total number of patients admitted from January 2016 to December 2016 were 38806.
